Summary
As mom’s partner Pat lived through my pregnancy with me, she was really living vicariously through a private dream of her own. Finally, she revealed that she too wanted to be a mom and this came as a huge shock to my mom. It was a long and rocky road that the two of them had to negotiate, for so many reasons, and it dramatically altered the landscape of all of our lives.
