Episode 209: Roots

Summary

I am back in the house that belonged to my grandfather where I used to visit every summer as a child. It is in a beautiful tiny town on the Italian Riviera. It is a place layered with memories from 50+ years, and yet, as it changes, it becomes vaguely unfamiliar in some ways too. 

It is an incredible gift to be able to revisit these places that we treasure in childhood memories. We can look at them through the lens of adulthood and bring a new significance to various events and people who populate those memories. I’ll be interested to see what bubbles up beyond the Proustian associations of various foods. I’m told some inner child healing might be possible. Stay tuned…
